Laguna Willcacocha (3,750 m) lets you spend a day in the Cordillera Negra. It is a good and very interesting option to acclimatize before a trek or climb in the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash.
Huaraz – Santa Cruz bridge – Laguna Willcacocha
Departure from Huaraz by private transport south of the city; we will reach the Santa Cruz bridge, which because of its location is an exceptional viewpoint of the Cordillera Blanca, showing peaks such as Huandoy, Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Hualcán, Copa, Vallunaraju, Ocshapalca, Ranrapalca and Huantsán, among others. We will continue hiking to Laguna Willcacocha, where we can enjoy the mountain range and a snack; then we will descend to the bridge, where the transport awaits to return to Huaraz.
