A full day hike to Laguna 69, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Cordillera Blanca, at 4,604 m in Huascarán National Park. On the way we will pass the Llanganuco lakes, Chinancocha and Orconcocha.
Pickup and drive through the Callejón de Huaylas
Pickup from your hostel; then we will head north of Huaraz through the Callejón de Huaylas, passing the provinces of Carhuaz, Mancos and Yungay. From the town of Yungay we will turn east to Huascarán National Park and the Llanganuco gorge.
Llanganuco lakes – Cebollapampa – Laguna 69
Breakfast (not included). We will pass the two Llanganuco lakes, Chinancocha and Orconcocha, and stop for a few minutes for photos. Then we will reach Cebollapampa (3,900 m); from here our hike to Laguna 69 (4,604 m) begins. The stop at the lake is about 30 minutes, and we will return to Cebollapampa, where our transport awaits to take us back to Huaraz.
