This one-day hike lets you discover Laguna Llaca, in the Cordillera Blanca, at the foot of the Ranrapalca (6,162 m) and Ocshapalca snow peaks. It is a good option to acclimatize before a trek or climb in the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash.

ITINERARY

7:30 am

Huaraz – Nueva Florida – Unchush – Llupa – Llaca gorge

Departure from Huaraz by private transport heading east, passing the picturesque villages of Nueva Florida, Unchush and Llupa and enjoying beautiful natural scenery. Higher up we will enter the Llaca gorge; the lake sits in a hollow, where we will enjoy the landscape.
