ABOUT THE ASCENT

Nevado Ishinca and Tocllaraju are undoubtedly among the most visited snow peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, because they make a perfect combination: acclimatize on Nevado Ishinca and then climb Nevado Tocllaraju, since they share the same base camp. Ishinca is one of the peaks that does not require much experience or technical equipment; Tocllaraju requires experience, good physical condition and technical knowledge. From their summits you can see a large part of the Andes.
